The Huskies were highlighted by junior Brian Gagnon's (Lowell, Mass.) win in the 800-meter run. He won the race with a time of 1:49.78, which beat the second place finisher by one one-hundredth of a second. Andrew Dubs (Holland, Pa.) placed second in the shot put with a throw of 54-10¼. Kyle Duggan (Staten Island, N.Y.) also scored for Connecticut, finishing eighth in the pole vault, clearing 16-2¾. UConn had to compete shorthanded after they decided to hold senior co-captain Basil Campbell (Ewing, N.J.) out of his sprints after he suffered an injury last week. They hope to have him ready for the NCAA Regional competition in two weeks. Read the full article at: www.uconnhuskies.com
