Rutgers Women End Outdoor Season at 2008 ECAC ChampionshipsPublished by
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's track and field closed out its outdoor season with its final competition at the 2008 ECAC Championships in Princeton. The Scarlet Knights finished in a four-way tie (11 points) for 24th place among a total of 47 teams that scored. "I thought that we ended the season with a couple of good individual efforts this past weekend," said head coach James Robinson. "We were able to garner six All-East performances and end the outdoor campaign on a positive note." Finishing in the Top 8 en route to All-East honors was junior Alison Caruana (Succasunna, N.J.) who took third in the 10,000-meter in 36:13.64 and senior Sylvia Galarza (Millville, N.J.) who placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 150'.
