Josh McDougal Comes Up Short in Attempt to Make NCAAs in 10,000m

The IC4As/ECACs (Eastern Champs) are this weekend, and NCAA cross country champ Josh McDougal ran the 10,000m attempting to qualify for nationals (28:45 automatic) in the cold and rainy conditions in Princeton, NJ.

McDougal started off fine, 4:36 for the first 1600 (28:45 pace), but then started slowing down the 2nd mile (9:18 at 4300 (29:03 pace but 4:42 for that 1600 which is 29:22 pace). Another lap at 72 seconds and McDougal called it quits.
